Notebooks
Group documents, websites, courses, and text into a knowledge base that fuels AI answers and content creation.
- From the admin dashboard, select Notebooks in the left-hand navigation.
- On the Notebooks page, choose a tab at the top to filter by type: All, Knowledge (documents, sites, courses, and text used to answer learner questions and support content creation), or Skills (coming soon — styles, standards, tone, and brand guides that shape generated content).
- To start a new notebook, select Create Knowledge Notebook. Choose the Knowledge type, then name your notebook (for example, "Company Policies"). Sources can be added later, so select Create Notebook when you're ready to continue.
- Add sources to build out the notebook's knowledge base. Select Add Source, then choose from four tabs:
- Uploads — drag and drop or upload PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, or SCORM (.zip) files. Audio and video files are automatically transcribed.
- Websites — paste a URL. Check Crawl site to also pull in linked pages, and select Add another URL to include more than one link.
- Account — pull existing Courses or Curriculums already in your account directly into the notebook.
- Text — paste or type text directly, with an optional title.
- Select Ingest to add the source to the notebook, or Cancel to back out.
- Review added sources in the Sources list, sorted by Most recent by default. Each source has its own menu for managing it individually.
- Test and use the notebook with the AI Assistant panel on the right side of the screen. Ask a question directly in the message box, or use one of the quick-action prompts — Summarize, Review, Search, or Create — to see how the notebook responds based on its sources.
- To manage notebook-wide settings, select Settings at the top of the notebook editor. From here you can open Group Permissions, Manage Editors, or Refresh All Sites.
- From the main Notebooks page, select the menu icon on any notebook card to Edit, Duplicate, Manage editors, Manage learner groups, Refresh sources, or Delete it
